Blood Song Books supports authors from all over the world and welcomes stories from International writers. Being a local press, we do however have a special interest in publishing and giving a voice to Australian authors! If you’re an Australian resident, please feel free to mention this in your Submissions Email!
Blood Song Books is a progressive, open-minded publisher and we appreciate a wide variety of genres and themes; however, we reserve the right to reject any submission that features topics we deem as inappropriate.
For example, we are strongly against violence towards children, and do not wish to publish it. It’s one thing to use a child’s death to explain, or support a character’s motives and emotions, or to have a child die during the course of a story, but we outright refuse to print gratuitous, descriptive gore. We believe it’s unnecessary and serves no purpose.
We are also against Hate Speech and Racism, and not very much for religious messages of any kind, either. Thank you for your understanding!
